Greetings: This is an original photograph. Taken in State Forest State Park (northern Colorado). This is a beyond spectacular area – the ultimate in rugged Colorado wilderness: 71,000 acres of forest, jagged peaks and alpine lakes. As I was trekking through the park, I had to stop and catch my breath. When I did, and looked up, I saw this old historic (mining?) cabin perched across the creek. Wowza. I can’t even imagine trying to get up those stairs in a blizzard. But what a peaceful place to cozy up in during rain, sleet, snow and high-altitude sunshine!
