The Park, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to some of the best-preserved Ancestral Puebloan archaeology in the United States. I travel to Mesa Verde as often as possible, and although the "story" told by the National Park Service has changed over the years (because it is still a mystery why they left), there is always more to learn and to experience through this mysterious landscape.
