Greetings! This is an original photograph, taken in Capital Reef National Park. This treasure (one of Utah’s “Mighty Five”) is located in south-central Utah in the heart of red rock country; it is filled with cliffs, canyons, domes, and bridges in the Waterpocket Fold (a geologic monocline or a “wrinkle on the Earth”) that extends almost 100 miles.
Whenever I’m in or near this part of Utah (where I wander to quite often throughout the year), I make a beeline for this amazing place. Although it’s grown busier in that last few years, you can still take a step off the beaten track (or trail) and find your own way!
