Greetings! This is an original photograph taken in the Eagles Nest Wilderness Area. The U.S. s designated the Eagles Nest Wilderness in 1976 and it now has a total of 133,496 acres. All of this wilderness is located in Colorado and is managed by the White River National Forest. This beyond-stunning alpine wild land is bounded below by the towns of Frisco and Silverthorne; and is just across from the Copper Mountain Ski Area. When I lived in this area (for 13 years!), I was up in these special places as often as humanly and spiritually possible. This photograph was taken on the Wheller trail – stunning!
